Preparation
Injection Moulding Technique

BEFORE

Worn, eroded teeth.

Slight preparation is possible, especially when orthodontic treatment is not an option.

G-Premio BOND provides strong adhesion in a thin, durable layer. The enamel was etched first.

G-ænial Universal Injectable.

G-ænial Universal Injectable can easily be polished to a brilliant gloss.

Veneers

BEFORE

Severe wear and erosion.
Palatal veneers were already placed.

Minimally invasive tooth preparation.

Initial LiSi Block is fully crystallised and can be polished to high gloss – no need for firing.

Adhesive bonding is ideally done under absolute isolation.

Bonding of the veneers with a reliable resin cement (eg. G-CEM ONE).

The surfaces have beautiful gloss and natural texture.

Crowns

BEFORE

Initial situation with large composite restorations and exposed roots.

After tooth preparation.

Zirconia restorations provide high strength and aesthetics.

FujiCEM Evolve assures a reliable luting procedure.

After tack-curing, excess is easily removed.

Zirconia was the material of choice for the crowns.

G-Premio BOND
- Less prone to water degradation for a clinically proven, long durability
- Can be used in all etching modes and for all procedures, including hypersensitivity treatment and repair

G-CEM ONE
- High colour stability in 4 shades for invisible margins
- Can be used with the Adhesive Enhancing Primer or G-Premio BOND for maximum bond strength

FujiCEM Evolve
- One-step application, less technique-sensitive than resin cements
- Optimal adhesion to zirconia
- Low film thickness and precise adaptation
Note: G-CEM Veneer, a light-curing resin cement, can also be used instead of G-CEM ONE. It has a high conversion rate after light-curing, enabling strong resistance to discolouration and staining, and a long working time.

FAQ
Injection Moulding Technique
What should be done if the restoration becomes contaminated with saliva or blood and additional composite material needs to be applied?
Thoroughly rinse the tooth with water to remove any blood or saliva and dry again. Apply G-Premio BOND, dry and light-cure in accordance with the instructions. Thereafter, you can continue the restorative procedure as planned.
What if I notice a small bubble or void after having started finishing and polishing?
If the bubble or void is too deep to remove during the finishing and polishing, use a small round bur to carefully remove the surrounding composite, going just deep enough to eliminate the bubble or void. Apply G-Premio BOND, dry and light-cure in accordance with the instructions. A flowable composite such as G-ænial Universal Injectable is most convenient to fill the gap.

Luting with FujiCEM Evolve
Do I need to pre-treat lithium disilicate or is this already done in the lab?
Sometimes, lithium disilicate restorations are pre-treated in the lab. However, during try-in, the restoration might be contaminated with saliva. This contamination cannot simply be rinsed off with alcohol or water, not even in an ultrasonic bath. To ensure optimal results, the pre-treatment should be postponed until after the try-in and cleaning, and carried out chairside with hydrofluoric acid and G-Multi PRIMER instead of being done in the lab.
Can I use FujiCEM Evolve (resin modified glass ionomer cement) to cement a lithium disilicate crown?
This is possible if the retention and resistance shape of the preparation are sufficient and if the fit is sufficiently accurate (i.e. a low film thickness of the cement). However, a composite cement like G-CEM ONE is the preferred option for lithium disilicate restorations.
Should the tooth be pre-treated with GC Fuji PLUS CONDITIONER?
The use of GC Fuji PLUS CONDITIONER is optional. FujiCEM Evolve exhibits sufficient bond strength to the tooth tissues, even without pre-treatment.
Luting with G-CEM ONE
Is it beneficial to apply two layers of silane before luting glass ceramics or composites?
No. It is best to apply just one layer of silane. Overapplication or multiple coats of silane can lead to pooling, which may interfere with the resin cement’s ability to bond uniformly to the ceramic surface.
(Do you know your ceramics? Part 3: lithium disilicate. Kour et al., Br Dent J, 2022; 232: 147-150)
Does light-curing the adhesive before placing the veneer affect its fit?
No, light-curing G-Premio BOND prior to luting won’t affect the fit. When applied in accordance with the instructions for use, the film thickness of G-Premio BOND is only 3 µm. Note that light-curing before cementation is recommended to reach optimal bond strength of the system.
Does silane need to be light-cured?
G-Multi PRIMER doesn’t require light-curing. Just dry with air after application.
Does using a primer with MDP on the restoration before applying G-CEM ONE improve the bond strength?
No, this is redundant since G-CEM ONE already contains MDP. However, for glass ceramics, hybrid composites or composites, the restoration needs to be pre-treated with a silane-containing primer such as G-Multi PRIMER.
